In a European state of mind

It goes without saying that Europe is a huge player in the international ad scene, but as big as that corner of the ad world is, we haven’t ventured too deep into that territory as far as Portfolio Night goes. Last year, PN7 took place in only four European markets: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Lisbon and Milan.

We’re already improving on last year’s total; Lisbon and Milan are returning, and we’re also adding Brussels, Dublin, London and Stockholm. But there are many, many other possibilities throughout Europe, and this week I’m touching base with a few other cities that have expressed some interest. We’d love to bring Portfolio Night back to France and Germany (Portfolio Night 5 was held in Paris and Berlin) as well as look into Eastern Europe. You’d be amazed at how many of ihaveanidea’s readers come from places like Romania, Hungary and the Czech Republic! Northern Europe is also on my our radar especially with all the top-rated digital shops located there. Even Scotland is a possibility!
