Portfolio Night 8 Philadelphia scores a touchdown at Eagles Stadium

You may think that the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles traded superstar QB Donovan McNabb for a pair of draft picks, but if you read the contract’s small print, you’ll see that the team also receives several dozen copywriters, art directors and designers.

Okay, that’s not exactly true, but the legendary football team will be welcoming the Philadelphia advertising community into its home — Lincoln Financial Field AKA Eagles Stadium — this May, as the Philly Ad Club hosts the first ever Portfolio Night in the City of Brotherly Love.

Now holding Portfolio Night at a football stadium isn’t the only thing that is making PN8 Philadelphia stand out from the other cities. The Philly Ad Club has rallied the city’s entire ad community behind the event, and they are inviting almost everybody with a passion for advertising to attend.

If you’re a copywriter, art director, interactive whiz or a designer, you’ll still get the famous Portfolio Night speed-dating experience that happens every year in every Portfolio Night city. But PN8 Philadelphia is also open to photographers, illustrators and other creative types who work alongside the advertising industry. It’s open to people who are looking to break into the planning, accounts and media sides of the ad world. And it’s open to people with a creative background who are just beginning to consider the possibility of an advertising career.
