“I went to the Portfolio Night at Sid Lee in Montreal and was great! I’m a graphic designer from Venezuela, and after PN6 I now have an idea of what to do with my portfolio if I want to work here someday as a graphic designer. “In order for you to understand how much Portfolio Night means to me I really need to take you on a trip down memory lane to the good old days of 2004 - my first attempt at joining the ad game.

You had to be an expert at getting past the CD’s impenetrable line of defence. The bloody PA; trained to sniff out juniors like a coke addicted beagle sniffs out his next hit on Airport Security. You had to be up for the challenge!

Four years later and they are giving out free beer, pizza and show bags while CDs wait patiently to see you. Juniors these days, they don’t know how good they’ve got it!”

“My creative partner and I hopped in the car and made the 300 mile road trip down to London to be at Portfolio Night. The night itself was immense. To have such big names all in one space was really amazing.

The night was really positive not only to meet some great creative directors who are really just gonna tell you how it is - which is what you need, but also to meet fellow students and see what they get up to. We met a couple of guys from Manchester who we hope to keep in touch with when we all move down in the summer!

We sure would recommend the night to all of our fellow students. It’s an amazing thing to be a part of, great for networking and getting your face in front of some of the industry greats can only be a good thing!”
